Derrick Coleman visits PDSD students

November 27 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

A close up of a Jerrick Coleman's eyes looking straight at the camera. He is wearing a football helmet.

Perseverance and perspiration led Arizona Cardinals’ Fullback Derrick Coleman to become the first legally deaf offensive player in the NFL. Before he was making waves and winning Super Bowl titles, Coleman was just another kid from West Los Angeles with a dream. He lost his hearing at three years old, but no matter how much pushback he received, he persevered. We can’t wait to meet this prodigy in person. Coleman will visit our PDSD students on campus on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 12:30 p.m. This is a private event for PDSD students and staff. You won’t want to miss it! We’ll have a (foot)ball!
