Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Board of Directors of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind and to the general public that the Board of Directors of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind will hold a meeting open to the public. The Board reserves the right to change the order of items on the agenda, with the exception of public hearings set for a specific time.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02(H), the Board may discuss, consider and take action concerning any matter listed on the agenda and other related matters.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02(A)(1), the Board may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purposes of discussion and consideration of employment matters as it relates to agenda items.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02(A)(2), the Board may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for discussion or consideration of records exempt by law from public inspection, including the receipt and discussion of information or testimony that is specifically required to be maintained as confidential by state or federal law as it relates to agenda items.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02(A)(3), the Board may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for discussion/consultation for legal advice with the Board’s attorneys as it relates to agenda items.

A copy of the agenda and materials for the meeting may be obtained at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting through the ASDB website, https://asdb.az.gov, going to the Board tab and selecting BoardDocs in the drop down menu. A copy may also be obtained during regular business hours at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, Superintendent’s Office, 1200 W. Speedway Blvd., Tucson, Arizona, (520) 770-3704.

Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation by contacting the Superintendent’s Office at (520) 770-3704. Individuals who need materials provided in an alternative format to accommodate their disability may also contact the Superintendent’s Office to make their needs known. Requests should be made known as soon as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation. Sign language interpreters will be present at these meetings.
