Phoenix Day School for the Deaf is fully accredited through AdvancED. The AdvancED website explains that the company is, “non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of PreK-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. PDSD values the accreditation process as it is a protocol for us to be committed to systemic, systematic, and sustainable improvement. It builds the capacity for us to improve and sustain student learning. It stimulates and improves effectiveness and efficiency throughout the school.
The most recent external review was completed in February 2014 with continued accredited status. The time in-between the 5-year external review is focused on working with stakeholders for ongoing school improvement.
