Dear Community Member,

As the end of the year approaches, people often think of how best to use their money in the community and rightly take advantage of a tax credit. This is one of those opportunities! By donating to PDSD and then claiming a tax credit on your 2019 income tax, you are actually specyfying where you would like your state taxes applied.

Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, which includes Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, is an educational institution (ARS 15-1302(C)). You may find helpful the state website, www.azdor.gov/taxcredits, and then choose School Tax Credits.

Listed below are some programs that would greatly benefit from your tax credit donation.

  • Fine Arts
  • Athletics/After School Programs
  • High School Close Up/International Studies
  • Field Trips
  • Academic Competitions
  • Western Sates Basketball and Cheerleading Classic

If a specific program does not pique your interest, we will gladly identify the activity with the biggest need. We truly appreciate the benefit your donation will bring to PDSD. Thank you for your consideration!

Who can Benefit from Arizona School Tax Credits?

All Arizona taxpayers are eligible. Note: you do not have to have a child who attends an ASDB school or who receives services from a regional coop to benefit from this law. You can now donate through April 15 of each year and claim your donation on the previous or current tax year. Please note that any funds earmarked for ECFE will not be eligible for this tax credit.

What Qualifies?

By law, only donations to extracurricular activities that charge a fee, such as tutoring, athletics, field trips, special programs and more qualify for the tax credit.
