Welcome to the Sentinels Nation!

First and foremost, thank you for supporting the many activities and athletic teams we offer at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) Tucson Campus. The Sentinels athletic program had an amazing 2017-18 season. Our student-athletes prevailed in many different ways. One of last year’s highlights was both the boys and girls basketball teams winning the Western States Basketball Classic championship. We are proud of our students and coaches for their hard work and dedication.

The main goal of the Sentinels athletic program is to encourage student participation in athletics because of the important life lessons that are learned. Teamwork, self-discipline, time management, commitment, sportsmanship, perseverance and sacrifice are some of the lessons we aim to teach our students. We believe that the life lessons learned through participation in athletics help develop and strengthen students’ academics, character, leadership, self-esteem and social skills.

Sentinels athletics holds high standards in regard to sportsmanship and conduct. We expect our athletes and coaches to win with humility and to lose graciously. We expect all interactions with opposing teams, fans and coaches to be positive in nature.

We aim to develop each child into a well-rounded person who is better prepared for college, career and life after they graduate.

Here is to another great year for the Sentinels athletic program and for our hard-working, disciplined and committed student-athletes. We hope to see you at a game!
