HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD
Both girls and boys teams are members of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA), competing in 1A Division IV. Track and field athletes have the opportunity to compete in challenging track meets all over Arizona, though primarily in the Tucson area. If qualified, the individual could compete in the Arizona AIA State Championships.
Both our PDSD and Tucson campuses form our Track and Field team.
Our team also will participate in the 12th Berg/Seeger Track & Field Classic. The location for 2019 has not been determined but in 2018 was hosted by California School for the Deaf in Fremont. The classic is open to all Deaf High School athletes, including schools for the Deaf and mainstream schools across the United States. The purpose for this classic is to offer Deaf athletes an opportunity to compete against their Deaf peers from every corner of the United States and also to promote interest in track and field among deaf youths.
