Is it You?

Qualifications: Qualify for the appropriate Arizona State Board of Education certification as superintendent, administrative experience, graduate study beyond a master’s and working knowledge in the area(s) of deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired, blind and/or special populations.

Responsibilities: Supervises or delegates of all activities and all employees of ASDB, administers the policies of the Board, provides leadership for the entire agency, makes recommendations to the Board for changes in Board policies and the educational programs, and provides initiative and the technical guidance for the improvement of the total program of ASDB.

Students in grades 1-12 are invited to compete in a series of five skills contests demonstrating braille reading and comprehension, speed and accuracy, spelling, proofreading, and tactile graphics.
